'Drink' scandal Japan ex-minister found dead
Former Japanese Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa, who resigned from his post after appearing intoxicated at a news conference earlier this year, was found dead in his home Sunday, police told CNN. He was 56. Nakagawa blamed his behavior at the G-7 briefing in Rome in February on having taken too much medicine, Kyodo reported at the time.
